Sherbet Punch is so good, why is it only served at showers?

Sherbet Punch is a lot like deviled eggs. Everyone loves it but you only get it at parties. Its not often someone says “Hey I’m going to make deviled eggs for dinner tonight” or “Hey, I’m going to mix up some sherbet punch instead of tea this afternoon.”

At least with deviled eggs, you might get them at any proper party or pot-luck gathering in the South. But Sherbet Punch – denoted to cheesy showers only. So here’s a recipe to encourage us to bring out the Sherbet Punch more often – Glenbrook Valley style of course.

Sparkly Margarita Sherbet Floats

One 12 oz can frozen limeade concentrate
1 1/2 cups of tequila
1/2 cup triple sec
2 quarts tonic, chilled
1 pint tangerine, lemon or lime sherbet

Directions: In a pitcher stir together the limeade concentrate, tequila and triple sec. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Make yourself a cocktail of your choice while you wait. Or eat a deviled egg.

Stir the chilled tonic into the limeade mixture. Place 1 scoop of sherbet into chilled glasses. Stir in the limeade mixture.  Serves 8  (serves 4 in Glenbrook Valley)

So mix some up. And don’t forget to invite me over. I’ll even bring some crepe streamers and a “Baby’s First Picture” photo frame if you want.

I suggest a non-shower, Glenbrook Valley style. Let’s put our thinking chapeaus on, Shannon, check our travel schedules, and make a plan. I can see endless possibilities!
